How far must a passport with Non-B visa be translated and legalised to be accepted for an SME hiring its first foreign employee?

The approach receiving authorities accept is this: a work permit file has two halves — the employer side (company affidavit, shareholder list, VAT registration, financial statements, tax filings) and the employee side (passport, degree, experience letters, medical certificate). Every foreign-issued document must be translated into Thai and certified before filing. We prepare the documents used in work permit and business visa files — certified translation, notarial certification, MFA legalisation and embassy attestation. Approval remains at the discretion of the Department of Employment and Immigration Bureau.
