The approach receiving authorities accept is this: thai civil-registration documents for a visa file normally follow this chain: (1) obtain an original or government-certified copy issued recently enough for the destination authority, (2) translate through a translator the destination accepts — a Department of Consular Affairs recognised translator, or a NAATI certified translator for Australia and New Zealand, (3) certification by a Thai Notarial Services Attorney where required, (4) MFA legalisation, and (5) destination embassy attestation where that is still requested. We do not give immigration legal advice and never promise an approval outcome. If you are outside Bangkok, ask our staff about sending documents by post.
