Police Clearance packages

Applicants submit fingerprints on the prescribed form together with a passport, Thai ID or house registration and proof of purpose such as an employer letter or visa form. Certificates are normally issued in about two to four weeks; for overseas use they must then be translated and legalised by the MFA.

The standard chain has 6 steps, beginning with "Check the destination's requirements first" and ending with "Translate and legalise for overseas use".

Check the destination's requirements first — Some countries require the receiving authority to be named on the certificate and accept it only within three to six months of issue.

Issued in roughly 2–4 weeks from a complete filing · translation and certification 1–3 business days · MFA legalisation 3–5 business days

The baseline set is: Original passport plus a copy · Thai ID card and house registration for Thai nationals · Fingerprint form in the Royal Thai Police format · Passport-style photographs in the specified size · Proof of purpose: employer letter, visa form or institution offer and others depending on the case. The receiving authority may ask for more depending on the purpose.

Applicants for permanent or work visas abroad · Job applicants at organisations requiring background checks · Citizenship and permanent-residence applicants · Foreign nationals who previously lived in Thailand and must cover that period

A certificate issued without naming the destination country or authority may be refused where naming is mandatory.

Scans are enough for the initial review, but many certification steps require originals or freshly issued certified copies. We tell you which at the first assessment.

Civil registration documents and certificates are often accepted only within 3–6 months of issue. Check the destination's rule before starting so the chain does not have to be repeated.

Yes. Send documents by post or courier and we return them to any address, with status updates at each stage. No in-person visit is required.

Tell us the authority and purpose up front. We shape the translation layout and the order of certifications to that requirement instead of producing a generic set and reworking it later.

Essential if your documents are ready and you only want a pre-submission check · Complete if you want the whole chain handled · Advisory if the case is complex or has been refused before.

Our team has advised on cross-border documents for more than 15 years. We do not just file paperwork: we first check that your document route actually matches what the destination will accept. If you would rather not learn by trial and error, send the documents to us for a review first.

If you are overseas, have fingerprints taken at a Thai embassy and post them back with an international reply-paid envelope.

Send images of the documents plus the destination country and authority by LINE or email. You get back the real sequence of steps and a realistic timeframe.
