Following current Thai authority practice, Marriage, divorce and single-status paperwork normally follows this chain: (1) obtain a current civil-registration extract from the district registrar, (2) translate into the language the destination requires using a translator it accepts, (3) have the translation or signature certified by a Thai Notarial Services Attorney where required, (4) legalise at the Department of Consular Affairs, and (5) attest again at the spouse's embassy when that is still requested.
