Translations signed by embassy-appointed sworn translators — the only kind accepted by German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and other civil-law consulates without extra certification. Bundled with MFA legalisation and embassy authentication.
Thailand does not appoint sworn translators itself. What each embassy in Bangkok maintains is its own list of translators whose signature it recognises — so a translation sworn for Germany is not automatically valid for Spain or Italy. The first question on every file is therefore which mission will receive the document.

2) Family & civil-status documents
Birth, marriage, divorce and death records are the most frequently sworn documents because they underpin residence, family reunification and inheritance cases. Name transliteration must match the passport exactly; a single differing vowel is enough to have a file returned.

3) Academic recognition (Anabin, ENIC-NARIC…)
Credential-recognition bodies compare the translated transcript against their own institution database, so degree titles, grading scales and credit hours are rendered literally with the Thai original kept alongside rather than converted into a local equivalent.

FAQ (6 answers)
Why do some countries require a 'sworn' translator instead of an MoJ one?
Civil-law countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, etc.) recognise only translations produced by translators sworn in before their own courts or embassies. The Thai MoJ credential doesn't substitute — you need the embassy's own sworn linguist.
Do I still need MFA legalisation after the sworn translation?
Usually yes — the sworn translator's signature is authenticated by the Thai MFA and then the embassy. We handle the full chain for you.
Which languages do you cover with sworn translators?
German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, plus English for jurisdictions that recognise Thai↔English sworn translations.
Can the sworn translation be used in Thailand too?
It can be, but Thai authorities usually prefer MoJ certified translations. If you need bi-directional use, ask us to prepare both — often at a bundled rate.
How long is a sworn translation valid?
The translation itself doesn't expire, but embassies often require the source document to be issued within 3–6 months. We advise before you spend on legalisation.
Do you handle Schengen family-reunification bundles?
Yes — birth/marriage/single-status + sworn translation + MFA + embassy in a single managed workflow, priced upfront.
