How do I apostille a Thai Marriage Certificate for Cook Islands?
NAATI Thailand handles the full Thai-Apostille workflow for the Marriage Certificate destined for Cook Islands 🇨🇰: (1) certified translation by a registered translator into English, (2) Notary Public certification of the translator's signature, (3) MFA legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Watthana). Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, until then, embassy legalisation may still be required for Cook Islands — confirm the current chain with the receiving authority. Marriage Certificate Apostille for Cook Islands — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Apostille desk for the Thai Marriage Certificate (issued by District Office), with end-to-end delivery to Cook Islands 🇨🇰. We translate, notarise and walk the file through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Chaeng Watthana under one job number — the workflow most consulates, universities and immigration officers in Cook Islands expect to see.
Why Apostille (not Embassy Legalisation) for Cook Islands — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Cook Islands is a Hague member, which means a single Thai MFA legalization stamp replaces the previous Embassy-of-Cook Islands legalisation step. The chain is shorter, the cost is lower, and the apostille is internationally verifiable from a register number.
Certified translation requirement — Receiving authorities in Cook Islands require the Marriage Certificate in English. The translation must be performed by a Notarised + Apostille. We allocate the job to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience; the file is bilingually proofread by a second linguist before notarisation.
Document preparation before MFA — คัดสำเนาทะเบียนสมรส (คร.2/3) + แปลอังกฤษ + Notary. ใช้คู่กับ คร.3 (ใบสำคัญการสมรส) เสมอ. We confirm the romanised spelling of your name against your passport bio-page in writing before drafting, so the apostilled translation matches every other Cook Islands-side filing (visa, civil registry, university, professional council).

Cook Islands.
Why receiving authorities accept our package — Each apostilled bundle leaves our chambers with: original Thai document (or certified true copy), certified English translation on letterhead with translator's signature and stamp, Notary Public seal certifying the translator's signature, MFA legalization on the translation (and original where required), and a numbered certificate of accuracy. This is the exact stack Cook Islands consulates, civil registries and the receiving authority routinely accept.
