Thai PCC for France from Ranong — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) desk for clients lodging in Ranong, with end-to-end delivery to France 🇫🇷. The Thai PCC (issued by the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division) is a mandatory supporting document for almost every long-stay visa, partner / spouse application, employer-sponsored migration, professional licensing and citizenship matter handled by Préfecture / French Embassy Bangkok.
Ranong workflow — Most clients in Ranong cannot travel to the Royal Thai Police HQ in Bangkok for fingerprinting. We send a Por.Or.1 fingerprint kit to the nearest provincial / metropolitan police station, you book a 15-minute appointment to print ten fingers, and our courier returns the kit to our office. From there, the PCC application, translation, notary, MFA and Embassy of France authentication all happen under one job number.
Why Français (French) certified translation is required for France — Préfecture / French Embassy Bangkok requires a Traducteur Assermenté (Sworn Translator in France) translation of the Thai PCC. We assign the file to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience handling Royal Thai Police documents specifically; a second linguist cross-checks the romanised spelling against the bio-page of your passport before the certification block is sealed.
MFA route — Legalisation — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. As a Hague member state, France now accepts a single Thai MFA Apostille on the certified translation; the previous Embassy-of-France legalisation step is no longer required. We walk every file through MFA at Chaeng Watthana ourselves — no third-party agents, no surprise queues.
Validity window — 3 เดือน (เคร่งครัดที่สุดในยุโรป). We time the MFA submission so the apostilled / legalised PCC lands within the acceptance window of Préfecture / French Embassy Bangkok. If your visa or licensing timeline shifts, we can re-MFA an existing translation provided the underlying PCC is still inside validity, saving you the cost of a full re-issue.
Typical use cases routed to France — Carte de Résident (10-year); Visa Long Séjour Conjoint de Français; Naturalisation Française; Talent Passport. Each use case has a slightly different acceptance window and stamp expectation, and we pre-flight every file against the latest Préfecture / French Embassy Bangkok guidance.
Step-by-step workflow from Ranong — (1) ขอ PCC + Apostille ในไทย; (2) ส่งไปฝรั่งเศสให้ Traducteur Assermenté แปล (7-14 วัน DHL); (3) รับคำแปล → ยื่น Préfecture หรือ Consulat.
Working tips for France-bound applicants in Ranong — Send a clear photograph of your passport bio-page on intake so the romanised spelling is locked. Book the fingerprint appointment at your local station early in the week so the kit reaches us by Friday. Tell us the lodgement date in France so we backsolve the MFA submission slot. If you need the apostilled / legalised hard-copy delivered overseas, request DHL on intake and we bundle the courier into the quote.
