Thai PCC for USA from Lampang — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) desk for clients lodging in Lampang, with end-to-end delivery to USA 🇺🇸. The Thai PCC (issued by the Royal Thai Police Criminal Records Division) is a mandatory supporting document for almost every long-stay visa, partner / spouse application, employer-sponsored migration, professional licensing and citizenship matter handled by USCIS / U.S. Department of State.
Lampang workflow — Most clients in Lampang cannot travel to the Royal Thai Police HQ in Bangkok for fingerprinting. We send a Por.Or.1 fingerprint kit to the nearest provincial / metropolitan police station, you book a 15-minute appointment to print ten fingers, and our courier returns the kit to our office. From there, the PCC application, translation, notary, MFA all happen under one job number.
Why English (Certified Translation) certified translation is required for USA — USCIS / U.S. Department of State requires a Certified Translator with Certificate of Translation Accuracy translation of the Thai PCC. We assign the file to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience handling Royal Thai Police documents specifically; a second linguist cross-checks the romanised spelling against the bio-page of your passport before the certification block is sealed.
MFA route — Apostille (Hague Convention) — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. As a Hague member state, USA now accepts a single Thai MFA Apostille on the certified translation; the previous Embassy-of-USA legalisation step is no longer required. We walk every file through MFA at Chaeng Watthana ourselves — no third-party agents, no surprise queues.
Validity window — 12 เดือน (ใช้ใหม่ได้หากยังไม่หมดอายุก่อนวัน interview). We time the MFA submission so the apostilled / legalised PCC lands within the acceptance window of USCIS / U.S. Department of State. If your visa or licensing timeline shifts, we can re-MFA an existing translation provided the underlying PCC is still inside validity, saving you the cost of a full re-issue.
Typical use cases routed to USA — Form I-485 Adjustment of Status; Form DS-260 Immigrant Visa (CR1/IR1, IR5, EB-1/2/3); K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa; Naturalization N-400; Adoption Cases. Each use case has a slightly different acceptance window and stamp expectation, and we pre-flight every file against the latest USCIS / U.S. Department of State guidance.
Step-by-step workflow from Lampang — (1) ทีมยื่นขอ PCC ในนามลูกค้า; (2) รับ PCC → แปลเป็นอังกฤษ + แนบ Certificate of Accuracy; (3) (ทางเลือก) ขอ Apostille ที่กรมการกงสุล สำหรับ extra security; (4) ส่ง scan PDF + ตัวจริง EMS ให้ลูกค้า upload USCIS Online Account.
Working tips for USA-bound applicants in Lampang — Send a clear photograph of your passport bio-page on intake so the romanised spelling is locked. Book the fingerprint appointment at your local station early in the week so the kit reaches us by Friday. Tell us the lodgement date in USA so we backsolve the MFA submission slot. If you need the apostilled / legalised hard-copy delivered overseas, request DHL on intake and we bundle the courier into the quote.
