How do I apostille a Thai Divorce Certificate for Macao (PRC)?
NAATI Thailand handles the full Thai-Apostille workflow for the Divorce Certificate destined for Macao (PRC) 🇲🇴: (1) certified translation by a registered translator into โปรตุเกส/จีน, (2) Notary Public certification of the translator's signature, (3) MFA legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Watthana). Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, until then, embassy legalisation may still be required for Macao (PRC) — confirm the current chain with the receiving authority. Divorce Certificate Apostille for Macao (PRC) — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Apostille desk for the Thai Divorce Certificate (issued by District Office / Court), with end-to-end delivery to Macao (PRC) 🇲🇴. We translate, notarise and walk the file through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Chaeng Watthana under one job number — the workflow most consulates, universities and immigration officers in Macao (PRC) expect to see.
Why Apostille (not Embassy Legalisation) for Macao (PRC) — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Macao (PRC) is a Hague member, which means a single Thai MFA legalization stamp replaces the previous Embassy-of-Macao (PRC) legalisation step. The chain is shorter, the cost is lower, and the apostille is internationally verifiable from a register number.
Certified translation requirement — Receiving authorities in Macao (PRC) require the Divorce Certificate in โปรตุเกส/จีน. The translation must be performed by a Notarised + Apostille. We allocate the job to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience; the file is bilingually proofread by a second linguist before notarisation.
Document preparation before MFA — คัดสำเนา คร.6/7 หรือคำพิพากษา + แปล + Notary. หากหย่าโดยศาล ต้องแนบคำพิพากษาด้วย. We confirm the romanised spelling of your name against your passport bio-page in writing before drafting, so the apostilled translation matches every other Macao (PRC)-side filing (visa, civil registry, university, professional council).

Why receiving authorities accept our package — Each apostilled bundle leaves our chambers with: original Thai document (or certified true copy), certified โปรตุเกส/จีน translation on letterhead with translator's signature and stamp, Notary Public seal certifying the translator's signature, MFA legalization on the translation (and original where required), and a numbered certificate of accuracy. This is the exact stack Macao (PRC) consulates, civil registries and the receiving authority routinely accept.
