Power of Attorney Apostille for Sao Tome and Principe — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Apostille desk for the Thai Power of Attorney (issued by Notary Public), with end-to-end delivery to Sao Tome and Principe 🇸🇹. We translate, notarise and walk the file through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Chaeng Watthana under one job number — the workflow most consulates, universities and immigration officers in Sao Tome and Principe expect to see.
Why Apostille (not Embassy Legalisation) for Sao Tome and Principe — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Sao Tome and Principe is a Hague member, which means a single Thai MFA legalization stamp replaces the previous Embassy-of-Sao Tome and Principe legalisation step. The chain is shorter, the cost is lower, and the apostille is internationally verifiable from a register number.
Certified translation requirement — Receiving authorities in Sao Tome and Principe require the Power of Attorney in โปรตุเกส. The translation must be performed by a Tradutor juramentado + Apostille. We allocate the job to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience; the file is bilingually proofread by a second linguist before notarisation.
Document preparation before MFA — ลงนาม Notary Public + การรับรองนิติกรณ์ MFA. ลงนามต่อหน้า Notary Public เท่านั้น. We confirm the romanised spelling of your name against your passport bio-page in writing before drafting, so the apostilled translation matches every other Sao Tome and Principe-side filing (visa, civil registry, university, professional council).

Why receiving authorities accept our package — Each apostilled bundle leaves our chambers with: original Thai document (or certified true copy), certified โปรตุเกส translation on letterhead with translator's signature and stamp, Notary Public seal certifying the translator's signature, MFA legalization on the translation (and original where required), and a numbered certificate of accuracy. This is the exact stack Sao Tome and Principe consulates, civil registries and the receiving authority routinely accept.
