How do I apostille a Thai Power of Attorney for Canada?
NAATI Thailand handles the full Thai-Apostille workflow for the Power of Attorney destined for Canada 🇨🇦: (1) certified translation by a registered translator into อังกฤษ หรือ ฝรั่งเศส, (2) Notary Public certification of the translator's signature, (3) MFA legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Watthana). Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027, until then, embassy legalisation may still be required for Canada — confirm the current chain with the receiving authority. Package quoted on request, turnaround 5–7 วันทำการ. Scan-first via LINE @NAATI from anywhere in Thailand or overseas.

Power of Attorney Apostille for Canada — end-to-end workflow
NAATI Thailand operates a dedicated Apostille desk for the Thai Power of Attorney (issued by Notary Public), with end-to-end delivery to Canada 🇨🇦. We translate, notarise and walk the file through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Chaeng Watthana under one job number — the workflow most consulates, universities and immigration officers in Canada expect to see.
Why Apostille (not Embassy Legalisation) for Canada — Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, with entry into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Canada is a Hague member, which means a single Thai MFA legalization stamp replaces the previous Embassy-of-Canada legalisation step. The chain is shorter, the cost is lower, and the apostille is internationally verifiable from a register number.
Certified translation requirement — Receiving authorities in Canada require the Power of Attorney in อังกฤษ หรือ ฝรั่งเศส. The translation must be performed by a Certified Translator (CTTIC/ATIO). We allocate the job to a senior translator with at least 8 years of certified-translation experience; the file is bilingually proofread by a second linguist before notarisation.
Document preparation before MFA — ลงนาม Notary Public + การรับรองนิติกรณ์ MFA. ลงนามต่อหน้า Notary Public เท่านั้น. We confirm the romanised spelling of your name against your passport bio-page in writing before drafting, so the apostilled translation matches every other Canada-side filing (visa, civil registry, university, professional council).
Typical use cases in Canada — มอบอำนาจขายอสังหา; มอบอำนาจจดทะเบียนบริษัท; ดำเนินคดีต่างประเทศ; Spousal Sponsorship (IMM-1344); Express Entry / PR; Study Permit. We have routed Power of Attorney apostille files to Canada for partner / family visas, study, work permits, marriage registration, citizenship by descent, civil-status updates, and corporate / banking matters.
Why receiving authorities accept our package — Each apostilled bundle leaves our chambers with: original Thai document (or certified true copy), certified อังกฤษ หรือ ฝรั่งเศส translation on letterhead with translator's signature and stamp, Notary Public seal certifying the translator's signature, MFA legalization on the translation (and original where required), and a numbered certificate of accuracy. This is the exact stack Canada consulates, civil registries and the receiving authority routinely accept.
Working tips for Canada-bound clients — Send the sharpest scan you can (300 dpi or better, all four corners visible). Tell us the receiving authority by name so we can pick the correct certification template. Allow 5–7 วันทำการ for the full chain. If you need an apostilled hard-copy delivered overseas, request DHL on intake and we will bundle the courier into the quote.
