Thai-trained registered nurses seeking AHPRA registration must first submit a full skills assessment package to ANMAC. Every Thai-language document (transcript, syllabus, licence, CPD record) must be translated by a NAATI Certified Translator and the source certified by a Notary Public / Justice of the Peace before upload to the ANMAC portal.

What NAATI level does ANMAC require?
ANMAC accepts only NAATI Certified Translator (previously 'Professional'). Recognised or Provisional levels are rejected. Every page must carry a certification number that can be verified on naati.com.au.
Notarise first or translate first?
Notarise first. The Notary Public certifies the True Copy on the original; the NAATI translator then translates the notarised set. ANMAC accepts this workflow without dispute.
How recent must the Certificate of Good Standing be?
ANMAC accepts a Good Standing letter dated within the last 3 months and sent directly from the Thai Nursing Council as a verified source.
Total cost range?
Notary THB 1,500–2,500 · NAATI translation THB 8,000–15,000 (subject count dependent) · ANMAC A$490 · AHPRA A$205 registration. Total ≈ THB 25,000–40,000.
Is MFA Apostille required?
Not for ANMAC — Notary + NAATI is sufficient. However, if you plan to register a marriage or change status later, add MFA Apostille so the same document is reusable across other Australian agencies.
