What is a Notarized Corporate Affidavit / Certificate of Good Standing in Thailand?
A notarized Corporate Affidavit / Certificate of Good Standing in Thailand is a private legal instrument signed before a Notarial Services Attorney — a Thai-licensed lawyer registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Notarial Services Attorney Regulation B.E. 2546 (2003). Unlike civil-law countries that use government notaries, Thailand delegates notarial functions to specially trained attorneys, whose seal and signature are recognised by Thai authorities, foreign embassies, and apostille-issuing offices around the world.
For บริษัทไทยส่งเอกสารไปสาขา/ลูกค้าต่างประเทศ; ผู้ลงทุนข้ามแดน; บริษัทเปิดบัญชีในต่างประเทศ, a properly executed Corporate Affidavit / Certificate of Good Standing is the gateway document to nearly every cross-border transaction. Whether you are submitting paperwork to DBD Thailand → Apostille → ทุกประเทศปลายทาง, ธนาคารต่างประเทศ, สรรพากรต่างประเทศ, the notarial seal is the single piece of evidence that proves your signature is genuine, that you appeared in person, and that you understood the document's contents at the time of signing. Without this seal, foreign authorities will reject your file outright.
NAATI Thailand has been providing notarisation services for English-speaking residents and visitors in Krabi Province, Thailand since 2014. Our notarial attorneys hold continuous Lawyers Council registration, carry professional indemnity insurance up to quoted on request per matter, and maintain bilingual workflows so that every certificate, oath, affirmation, or acknowledgment is drafted in plain English alongside Thai — eliminating translation ambiguity downstream.
